How can I get my 7 week old kitten to wear his collar?
Everytime we put the collar on him he starts to jump around all crazy like. The collar has a bell on it and we figured he was trying to get the bell, but by him jumping around and pulling on it, the collar just gets looser and then he sticks his paw in it and it get stuck. We’ve taken it off of him, but we really want him to wear it so just in case he gets out the house, whoever finds him will have our contact information. Please help
its going to take awhile. dont get frustrated, he will learn.
just keep it on a few minutes at a time then take it off.
if you continue to do this, he will get used to it.
however some cats just don’t like it. I have four and only one could not wear her collar. she kept scratching at it and not only destroyed the collar but scratched her fur raw on some places.
get a chip that will locate them, some have tracking devices now that can pinpoint their exact location.
